The Best Uncensored AI Chatbots of 2026, Compared

The mainstream assistants are not uncensored and are not trying to be. We covered where ChatGPT, Grok and Character.AI draw their lines in ChatGPT, Grok and Character.AI on NSFW, and Character AI's own guidelines prohibit pornographic content and nudity for every account.^[1]

The apps below are the ones built to allow more. Before comparing them, it helps to split the word into three questions, because the answers rarely line up:

Most chatbots on this list are uncensored text with something bolted on. JustHoney starts from the other end: one companion, with her own personality and history, who you can talk to and see. NSFW AI chat with her has no filter that steers the scene away, and she sends selfies and short videos in the chat with the same face every time. On a plan those are part of the chat, not a token per picture.^[2]

She also remembers what you told her, so the next conversation picks up where the last one ended. When you want more than a chat, AI sex roleplay and Experiences are stories you step into with her, and the NSFW AI image generator lets you create her from scratch. Those two run on Nectar, the in-app credit, and every plan includes a monthly allowance.

Venice is the name that comes up first for "uncensored AI chat", and for good reason. It is an assistant rather than a companion: chat, images, video and code, with open models it describes as "uncensored and private".^[3] Its privacy model is the real draw. Venice says your conversations are stored locally on your device and that it does not store or log your prompts or the replies on its servers.^[4] The flip side is that your history does not follow you to another device or browser.

The free tier is 10 text prompts and 15 image prompts a day. Pro, at $18 a month, adds unlimited text, custom characters and longer context.^[5] Adult content is opt-in: Venice's FAQ says you can disable the Mature Filter if you have a Pro plan or higher.^[4] One thing to know if you care who else is there: its terms allow users from 13, with a parent's consent and the mature filter left on.^[6]

Janitor AI is where most people go for free, unfiltered text roleplay. Its library of user-made characters is enormous, and bots tagged "Limitless" may have sexual or romantic themes.^[7] The free tier gives unlimited chats on the standard model; Janitor+ adds about five times the context and faster replies at busy times, for $12.99 a month at launch.^[8]

The limits are memory and reliability. Janitor's own help page puts the standard model's context at around 8,000 to 9,000 tokens, so long chats lose their early details.^[9] Its changelog has recorded several rough patches this year, including downtime across core services on July 30 and a "very unstable" site on September 11, 2026.^[10] We compared the options for people who outgrow it in Janitor AI alternatives.

Chub is the most openly uncensored platform here. Its documentation says it does not restrict "in any meaningful capacity" the characters users post or the interactions they have with them.^[11] You can chat on its own models or connect your own API key, and it has an in-chat image feature called Imagine.^[12]

The trade-offs are practical. New users get one-time trial credits "amounting to a few dozen messages", and the subscription is $20 a month, paid in cryptocurrency only, which Chub says keeps payment processors from pressuring it.^[13] Its terms name the operator only as "Chub (AKA CharHub)", with no company or country.^[14]

SpicyChat's own FAQ says all of its chatbots can engage in NSFW roleplay, whatever their label.^[15] Memory is where the tiers differ: up to 4,096 tokens for free users and Get A Taste, 8,192 on True Supporter, and up to 32,768 on I'm All In, depending on the model.^[16] Prices rose on September 8, 2026, to $5.95, $19.95 and $29.95 a month; existing subscribers keep their old price.^[17]

Pictures sit higher up. Conversation images, including nude ones with its NSFW mode on, are only for True Supporter (on select characters) and I'm All In (on any character), and voice replies are I'm All In only.^[18] Visitors from the UK, France, Italy, Australia and a long list of US states need a video-selfie age check before NSFW content unlocks.^[19]

Feature for feature, Muah does the most. You can build a companion, chat, hear voice messages, ask for photos and short videos, and on the top tier call her in real time.^[20] Its help centre says "We don't have any censors in place", though it adds that the AI itself can still decline a request.^[21] Its own store lists Basic VIP at $9.99 a month (on sale from $19.99), GPT4 VIP at $49.99 and Ultra VIP at $99.99, the tier with daily-capped live calls.^[22]

The reason to pause is privacy. Have I Been Pwned lists a breach of Muah.AI in September 2024 that exposed 1.9 million email addresses alongside the prompts users wrote to generate images, and classes it as a sensitive breach.^[23] Muah's help centre also says all memories "may be used for LLM training".^[21] We go through the rest in our Muah AI review.

Kindroid is unusually clear about where it stands. Its moderation guidelines list NSFW and erotic roleplay under "What is Explicitly Allowed" and say it is not putting a filter on the AI itself; enforcement targets three red lines (self-harm, real-world harm to others and child sexual abuse material).^[24] Its memory runs across five systems, and subscribers get voice and video calls, selfies, video selfies and group chats.^[25]

The catch is the price of entry. The Lite model and unlimited free messaging were retired on October 1, 2026; new accounts get a one-time preview of 50 messages (15 in some regions) and then go read-only until you start the 3-day trial or subscribe.^[26] Kindroid does not publish its prices on its help pages; you see them at checkout. SillyTavern is not a service. You install it on your own computer, connect it to a model, from one running locally to a paid API, and load or write characters.^[27] With no company in the middle there is no filter of its own, and with a local model nothing leaves your machine. That is as uncensored and as private as AI chat gets.

The cost is time. Installing it, choosing a model that runs well on your hardware or paying for an API, and keeping it all working is a hobby in itself.

Two names that show up in uncensored lists deserve a closer look. CrushOn's page titles promise "No Filter NSFW Character AI Chat", yet its terms of service say users will not "transmit, submit, or post material that is NSFW, pornographic, or otherwise sexually explicit".^[28] It may well work as advertised, but you are relying on a rule that its own contract says the opposite of. Talkie is simply the wrong app for this. Its community guidelines prohibit "both explicit sexual content and content with suggestive or implicit sexual undertones", and its terms let people sign up from age 14.^[29]
