Almost every app on this list allows adult chat on a paid plan. Where they differ is everything around it, and that is where the disappointment usually comes from:

The idea behind JustHoney is that she should feel like one person, and you should not be counting credits while you talk to her. On a plan, NSFW AI chat is unlimited for personal use and has no filter that changes the subject, and the selfies and short videos she sends in the chat are part of the plan.^[1] She keeps the same face in every one of them, which is the part most apps get wrong.

She remembers what you tell her, so the second conversation picks up where the first ended. If you want a story rather than a chat, AI sex roleplay and Experiences put you in a scene with her, and the NSFW AI image generator lets you create her from scratch. Those two run on Nectar, and every plan includes a monthly allowance.

Candy is the best-known name in the category, and it is polished: ready-made girls, guys and anime characters, a deep character builder, images, video and voice.^[2] Its free tier is a taste: up to 5 messages, one custom character and one image.^[3] Premium makes messaging unlimited and includes a monthly token amount, "generally 100 per month", for images, voice notes and other extras; unused tokens expire with the billing period.^[4]

OurDream is built around creation. You design her look, personality and voice, in a realistic or anime style, and it generates NSFW images and videos of her.^[5] It describes itself as "a no limits platform where you can roleplay any fantasy you like".

Subscribers get unlimited messages and 1,000 dreamcoins a month, at $19.99 monthly or $9.99 a month billed as $119.88 for the year.^[6] The coins pay for the visual side: 5 dreamcoins per in-chat image, 100 per five seconds of video and 50 per minute of voice call.^[7] A free account starts with 55 dreamcoins.

DreamGF is explicit about what it is for: it advertises "AI nude picture generations" and sexting with a girlfriend you design.^[8] Free accounts can claim 10 messages a day, rising by one for each consecutive day up to 50, and the homepage FAQ says there is no free trial at the moment.^[9]

The paid side is harder to pin down. Membership includes a monthly token allowance, and tokens pay for most things: 10 per image, 3 per voice message, 7 per minute of voice call.^[10] But DreamGF's homepage, pricing page and plans page give different figures for both the prices and the monthly tokens, with a discounted first payment that renews at a higher rate. Kindroid's moderation guidelines are the clearest of any app here: NSFW and erotic roleplay are listed under "What is Explicitly Allowed".^[11] Its memory is a genuine strength, and subscribers get selfies, video selfies, voice and video calls.^[12] Generated media may be checked against "the content guidelines that apply where you use Kindroid", so pictures are not as unrestricted as the chat.

It is also no longer free. New accounts get a one-time preview of 50 messages, then a 3-day trial that needs a payment method, or the account goes read-only.^[13] Full details in our Kindroid review.

Muah packs in the most: chat, voice, photos, video and, on its top tier, real-time calls.^[14] Its help centre says it has no censors in place. Plans on its own store run from Basic VIP at $9.99 a month on sale to Ultra VIP at $99.99.

What holds it back is trust. Have I Been Pwned lists a September 2024 breach that exposed 1.9 million email addresses alongside the prompts people used to generate images.^[15] We cover pricing, memory and privacy in our Muah AI review.

Nomi is excellent at memory and markets "unfiltered chats", but it draws a firm line on pictures. Its wiki says Nomis are not permitted to take nude photos, citing app-store and card-company rules, and that this will not change any time soon; flirty clothed pictures are fine.^[16] Free accounts get 50 messages a day, and Nomi's own blog puts the subscription at $15.99 a month.^[17]

Replika is the original AI companion, and romance is a paid feature: the Romantic partner status unlocks with Replika Pro, which also unblurs "romantic and creative selfies".^[18] Its terms forbid using the service to upload pornographic content.^[19] Both are good at warmth. Neither is the answer if the filter is the problem.
